Collaboration with De Groot Vroomshoop

Jan 31, 2021 - We are excited to announce that SeARCH and De Groot Vroomshoop will be collaborating to build sustainable, circular, prefabricated timber architecture.

Together, SeARCH and De Groot Vroomshoop have developed a unique modular timber system. This system has the potential to revolutionise how we build. By working with prefabricated modules, construction time is kept to a minimum and a completely new school building can be built in just a few months. This modular system also offers greater flexibility, allowing schools to be easily dismantled, moved, enlarged and expanded.

Over the last few years SeARCH and De Groot Vroomshoop have realized two high-quality prefabricated timber schools together, Klein Amsterdam in Amsterdam Noord and Het Epos in Rotterdam’s Zuidwijk & we are excited to explore the potential for applying this unique modular system to other building typologies and on a larger scale.
