Loetje Oegstgeest

The ‘pearl of the Klink’ is a characteristic, recognizable landmark, without being obtrusive. It is intriguing and different from each perspective while walking around the lake.

The design relates to the traditional yet modern appearance that all Loetje locations have in common. The sharply detailed, traditional reed roofing covers a rather abstract transparent plinth. The star-shaped floor plan holds the different functional elements like entrance area, kitchen area and restaurant, which are placed around the central, double high bar with skylight. Blackwood covers the facade of kitchen and sanitary area, while the glass facade of bar and restaurant volumes opens up from a more intimate one-floor height at the street side to a double high glass facade at the lakeside.
